Creating Jem started in a remote, wooden Indonesian house on the beach surrounded by palm teams with a peeling lefthander a short paddle away. My tropics series is a tribute place where my artistic journey began, with each piece reflecting and capturing the tranquility, rhythm and vibrancy of island life.
